Dog Bites and Pet Attacks

Dog bites and pet attacks can cause serious physical injuries, emotional trauma, and permanent scarring. These incidents often occur in neighborhoods, apartment complexes, parks, businesses, or even inside a person's home. While dogs are the most common animals involved in these cases, injuries can also result from attacks by other domesticated pets. Victims may suffer puncture wounds, lacerations, infections, nerve damage, facial injuries, broken bones, and psychological effects such as anxiety or post-traumatic stress. Children are especially vulnerable to severe injuries from animal attacks. Pet owners have a responsibility to control their animals and take reasonable steps to prevent them from harming others. When an owner fails to do so, injured victims may be entitled to compensation for medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, disfigurement, and other damages resulting from the attack.
