Pedestrian Accidents

Pedestrian accident cases involve people who are hit by cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, or other vehicles while walking. These accidents often happen in crosswalks, parking lots, intersections, neighborhoods, school zones, or near businesses where drivers fail to pay attention. Because pedestrians have no protection from impact, injuries are often severe and may include broken bones, head injuries, internal injuries, spinal trauma, or wrongful death. Drivers have a responsibility to watch for pedestrians and follow traffic laws. When a careless driver causes a pedestrian injury, the injured person may have a claim for medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and long-term damages.
