Falling Merchandise and Unsafe Property Conditions

Falling merchandise and unsafe property condition cases occur when businesses or property owners fail to maintain a safe environment for customers and visitors. In retail stores, warehouses, and large commercial establishments, improperly stacked products, overloaded shelves, unsecured displays, or negligent storage practices can cause merchandise to fall and strike unsuspecting customers. Unsafe property conditions may also include exposed wiring, broken handrails, unstable flooring, damaged ceilings, hazardous walkways, or other dangerous conditions that create an unreasonable risk of injury. These accidents can result in head injuries, neck injuries, back injuries, fractures, and other serious medical conditions. Property owners have a responsibility to regularly inspect their premises and correct dangerous conditions before someone gets hurt.
