Fault Divorce

In Texas, if you are the wronged party, it could be helpful to file a fault divorce. Grounds for a fault divorce are adultery, cruelty, abandonment and felony conviction. Unlike no-fault divorces, proof of your spouse's misconduct is required. If you cannot prove that your spouse's actions was the direct cause of the dissolution of your marriage, then you might not have grounds to file a fault divorce.
