FAMILY VIOLENCE
Protective Order
If you are experiencing domestic violence at home, you should take immediate steps to ensure your safety. If family violence has recently occurred and is likely to occur in the future, we can petition the court to grant you a Protective Order. A Protective Order last for two years and prevents the abuser from having specific contact with the protected person. Violating a Protective Order can have major consequences, such as jail time and a fine.
